Introduction
Smart File Organizer (“the app”) is an Android application that helps you sort, categorize and clean up the files already stored on your phone or tablet. This policy explains what information the app can access, why it needs that access, and how that information is handled.
We respect your privacy and request only the permissions required for file management features. Protecting your information is one of our highest priorities: the app is built around on-device processing, so your files stay where they belong — with you.

Information We Collect
Device Information
Basic technical details such as Android version, device model and available storage may be read on your device so scanning and cleanup behave correctly.
File Metadata
File names, types, sizes, folder paths and modification dates are read to build categories, storage charts and duplicate matches.
We do not upload, copy, or sell your personal files.
The app reads only the file information required to organize your files. Photos, videos, documents, audio and their contents never leave your device through Smart File Organizer.

Permissions Used
Android asks for your explicit consent before granting each permission below. You can revoke any of them at any time in your device settings; features that depend on a revoked permission will stop working until it is granted again.

| Notifications | Shows progress and completion messages for scans, cleanups and organizing tasks. This permission is optional. |

Data Storage
Local processing
All file scanning, sorting and duplicate detection happens locally on your device.
No file uploads
No personal files are uploaded to our servers, and we operate no file storage backend.
No hidden sync
There is no hidden cloud synchronization or background transfer of your content.

Third-Party Services
Google Play Services
Smart File Organizer is distributed through Google Play. Google may process installation, licensing and app-update data under its own privacy policy.
Firebase
Not currently enabled. If a future version introduces Firebase services, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Crash Reporting
Not currently enabled. Should crash reporting be added, it would collect anonymous stability data only — never file contents.
Analytics
Not currently enabled. If usage analytics are added later, they will be limited to aggregated, non-identifying app-usage events.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policy of any service listed above as active before relying on it.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We work to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy
Smart File Organizer is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, please contact us so it can be removed.

Your Rights
- Delete app data from Android Settings › Apps › Smart File Organizer
- Clear the app cache at any time
- Uninstall the application to stop all processing
- Contact support with privacy questions or requests
Because the app does not maintain server-side copies of your files, deleting app data or uninstalling the app removes the information it held.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when app features change or when legal requirements evolve. Updates are published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date, and material changes may also be announced in the app or on the Google Play listing. Please review this page periodically.
